Make Kathmandu Green Again !!

How can we remove the dust pollution in Kathmandu. This should be one of the most discussed topics right now in Kathmandu. The media suite Focus in this issue. And the politicians should also referred to this issue to solve it as soon as possible.

Till the year 2000 Kathmandu was very beautiful city and the pollution was not that high as it is right now. Right now our city is unlivable. And we cannot get out from the situation too. We had a common mentality of throwing the trash outside of the house. We never care about the city where we throw the trash is our home as well. That’s why we are facing this problem right now. It has become as worse as we can imagine.

One of the most important thing that we should develop is we should think our city is also our home. Trash management and separation is one of the most important things that we should also be aware of. As a normal household we should try to reduce the quantity of dress that we dispose. So if everyone comes hands in hand in this way we might be able to reduce the pollution in Kathmandu City. I really would like to see my city as beautiful as it was before. Bagmati river is also one of the biggest problem right now that we are facing to clean it up.

Instead of focusing in politics everyday why aren’t we focusing in these kind of stuff and to eliminate this problem out of the city. We always look that the government will do something but I think this would be handled in a local district level. Why aren’t the media giving more attention to suffer serious suffering to the city. This will be a biggest health problem for all the inhabitants of Kathmandu Valley. Last week I was looking through Google Maps and even in Google Maps I can see a Mist of Fog wherever you zoom. That was one of the most depressing moments in my life so as to see my city in such a condition.

Water problem is one of them other biggest problem but we might face in future. We did try to bring Melamchi to remove our water problem but I don’t know how effective it would be in the future. There was a prediction from you and report that all the developing countries might face water shortage in the future. Hence has one of the developing countries let be prepared from right now. We already faced the power shortage and we had to suffer bad for such a long time and if we don’t make planning for the future we are going to face similar problem again in the future.

Planting trees is one of the most important thing that we should be very aware off. Number one it makes the city cooler and number to it traps dust and sound pollution as well. Those were the most basic problem that we are facing in Kathmandu. Hence trees are the future for Kathmandu. We should have a slogan like 1 house one tree that would save our city from this exponential population growth. And also trying to decentralize the Kathmandu population to the hills and higher regions around the Kathmandu valley would help to reduce this load in central Kathmandu. For that we need to build better road and better access to these regions as soon as possible.

Actually everyone knows this thing but this thing never happens. Although it would not change anything by my blog but I just wanted to say something that’s why I would like to write this blog about future problems in Kathmandu. Actually I would like to come back to Kathmandu and live in  my beautiful city as well.
