In Nepal we find it very uncomfortable when a doctor does not give us medicine. The level of medicine that we use in our Society is already too much. If we don’t think of this problem right now we might have more dangerous diseases later in future. There was a time when we used unlimited amount of antibiotics to every kind of diseases and that did more harm than anything to all Nepali citizens. And we have not realized what we have done till now as well and we always pray for more medicine than anything else.
If we go to a doctor and if he or she does not gives us medicine then we think the doctor is not capable enough to examine us. Can you think how silly this thing can be. I know there are doctors who are not able to diagnose in Nepal but we need to be aware of the fact that medicines does not help us in our health and longevity.
I also go to doctor here in Germany but every time I go to doctor, she never gives me some chemical medicine, instead she tries to give some herbs that might help the process. I was really enraged at one point willing to know, why she is not giving me some chemical medicine but later when i thought deeply and calmly i felt what she is doing is really better than what we do in Nepal. On top of that the technology of herbal medicine comes from Asia. And now is the time we our self don’t believe on herbs but instead the people from the west believe in it. This is such a funny situation to look up on the west they developed the chemical medicine and they don’t like to use it because they know it is dangerous and the east they developed the herbal medicine and they don’t like to use it as well and they think the Western medicine is more better. This is almost like the grass on the other side looks greener.
So what we can conclude from this is there is already an awareness that the medicine is not good for health and longevity if it can be avoided. But in Nepal we use medicine as if it is a normal food or a diet, I cannot even explain in words how easily we can obtain medicine and use it. In this situation, I would like to tell the small story when I was a child I had some chest pain. And my mother like every Other Mother took me to a doctor. And the doctor has to do something and this time as well so he did some x-rays and some of the things and he said that I had tuberculosis. Actually I was doing some summer slam on the sand that’s why I was having this chest pain but I could not explain this thing when I was a child I believe that I had this tuberculosis but deep in my heart i knew i didn’t had any disease. But by force i had to take these medicine for tuberculosis for almost a year for nothing, you can just imagine what kind of negative effects that it might have created. A medicine is a medicine for a certain disease. It is certainly not beneficial for your health and if you are taking this medicine without having this illnesses is not going to help you in a positive way it is certainly going to degrade your health in a negative manner.
So this is just one of the simple example that I can give right now. There are so many cases in all around Nepal which is happening and the doctors are giving this kind of prescription to all these innocent people who don’t even know what kind of negative effects these kind of medicine do to their health.
Apart from negative diagnosis there is one much more bigger problem in Nepal as well. The doctors are connected with the medicine companies and the more medicine they give the more profit the gain so this is a very cheap kind of game played with the innocent citizens. The doctor would gain some money but this is nothing in compared to their dignity and the way they treat their patients. Hence this kind of commission game and the relation between medicine sales and doctors prescription must be terminated as soon as possible.
Hence we should be aware of this ourselves. I know most of the readers who read my blog are aware enough to these facts but there are millions of people who need to know this kind of facts. For now I don’t have another way or medium to raise voice to this kind of happening that are happening in Nepal. Hope these things would dramatically change in coming days.
